Spring is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Therapist who works with individuals of all ages using evidenced based practices, specializing in trauma informed care.  

 

Spring has a Master's of Art in Education, Community Counseling from Chadron State College. Additionally, Spring holds a BA in Business Administration in Management and has over 12 years experience as adjunct faculty and working in Institutional Research at Mid-Plains Community College, and in business consultation. She has over 17 years experience working with individuals and families during and after a crisis or trauma. Additional experiences include Region II Human Services and at Great Plains Health.

 

Spring is well versed in Trauma, First Responders/Law enforcement, Military, anxiety, adjustment issues, depression, grief, recovery, PTSD, self-esteem, identity, and workers compensation.  She has successfully facilitated several groups on topics such as Co-Dependency and a Trauma group with focus on reducing recidivism in the criminal justice system.

 

She is a past member of EMDRIA, having completed EMDR Level 1 and Level 2 in person, as well as 100+ hours of advanced EMDR trainings such as problematic behaviors, child protocol, Recent Events protocol, Group community disaster, and serving those who serve (Military). She has completed consultation with Brenda Rohren, M.A., MFS, LIMHP, LADC, MAC, BC-TMH, Mark Nickerson, LICSW, and DaLene Forester, Ph D, LMFT, LPCC

 

She received Advanced Training: Synergetic Play Therapy using EMDR with Lisa Dion, LPC, RPT-S and Judith Norman, LPC, LSC, RPT.

She is a trained Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy with Adults (AFTT-A), Completing part 1 and 2. Acquiring skills and strategies for incorporating EMDR therapy into internal restructuring and creation of safety and attachment for parts of self, deepen positive affect, and titrate experiences of negative affect through the creation of a new bonding contract and therapeutic story.
